CAMP SPRINGS, Md. (WUSA9) -- A 25-year-old man was killed early Christmas morning after a collision involving a driver going the wrong direction on the Beltway, Maryland State police said.
According to police, Franklin Moreno-Dunn was driving in the inner loop near Exit 7B (Branch Avenue) when he was hit by another driver in a head-on collision.
At around 3:35 a.m., Moreno-Dunn's car was hit by a 2007 silver Lexus RX 350 driven by Isiah Jackson, police say. Jackson was taken to MEDSTAR Hospital in D.C. Police did not provide any information about his condition.
There were no passengers involved in the crash, according to police.
All lanes in the inner loop near Exit 7B were closed for about five hours while police investigated the accident.
