BELTSVILLE, Md. — One person was killed and three other people, including a child, were taken to the hospital after a crash involving a dump truck in Beltsville on Friday afternoon.
The crash happened around 2:40 p.m. at Gunpowder Road and Sinope Way. Three vehicles were involved, including a dump truck.
A woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. She was identified Monday as 41-year-old Tamecka Allen of Springfield, Virginia.
Two adults and a child, whose age hasn't been released, were all taken to an area hospital with injuries that weren't believed to be life-threatening.
A hazmat unit was called to the scene to handle a fluid leak.
