Driver crashes into tree in Montgomery County, dies

The cause of the crash has also not been determined at this time.

DARNESTOWN, Md. — A man has died after crashing his car into a tree in Darnestown early Friday.

Officials with the Montgomery County Police, as well as Fire and Rescue, responded just after 12:30 a.m. to the intersection of River Road and Seneca Road after a report of a single-vehicle collision. Upon arrival, they found an orange Honda Element had crashed into a tree.

The driver, the only person in the vehicle at the time of the crash, was extricated by Fire and Rescue. He was pronounced dead at the location.

Currently, no information has been released about the man, this includes his name, age, and where he is from. 

The cause of the crash has also not been determined at this time.
