Severe thunderstorms and strong winds caused a mess for homeowners in Adelphia, MD Thursday night. The storm, which lasted less than 30 minutes, caused trees to topple on top of cars, broken windows, and left residents like Maggie Yil shaken.
“It’s strange,” she explained.
Thinking back on prior storms, she said only a few trees have fallen down during the nearly 20 years since she’s lived in Presidential Park condominiums.
“This is the first time I’ve seen [anything] that,” she said.
At least three crews were out clearing debris from the street and removing branches from on top of vehicles. said he saw 3 cars with large tree branches on them.
A representative from the condo association declined to speak with us. We also don’t know the cost of the damage.
