Man assaulted in Bowie dies 2 months later, sparking homicide investigation

Through an autopsy, the death was ruled a homicide from blunt force trauma.

BOWIE, Md. — A homicide investigation is underway after a man died almost two months after he was found unresponsive on a Bowie street.

On Aug. 29, around 8:35 p.m. officers with the Bowie Police Department responded to Race Track Road, nearby Marquette Lane, where they found a man unresponsive in the street. Police said he was suffering from trauma to the head and was taken to the hospital for treatment. 

The man, later identified as 53-year-old Millard Noack, Jr., of Bowie, died from his injuries on Friday, Oct. 27. Through an autopsy, the death was ruled a homicide from blunt force trauma.

Through an initial investigation, it was determined that Noack was struck by someone in the head and then they ran away from the area. The motive of the deadly assault is under investigation.

The Prince George’s County Police Department has assumed the investigation into the homicide. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
