BETHESDA, Md. — Two women were hurt and a dog was killed in a dog attack in Bethesda on Tuesday, the Montgomery County Department of Police said.
Around 10:35 a.m., officers responded to the 7000 block of Heather Hill Road for a reported dog attack.
According to police, two dogs charged at a woman who was walking her dog. The two attacked her dog, and then one of the dogs left while the other continued attacking the woman's dog.
The dog died from its injuries.
Officers who responded to the attack shot and killed the attacking dog while police said it charged at the officers.
Police said the attacking dogs are reported to live in the neighborhood where the attack happened. The police department couldn't say if their owner was present at the time of the attack.
