ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (WUSA9) -- Anne Arundel County Police Chief Kevin Davis will step down, effective Dec. 1, he said in a statement Tuesday.
Davis had accepted the position nearly a year-and-a-half ago.
"The incoming administration has informed me they are heading in a different direction, and I respect the County Executive-Elect's decision to form his own leadership team," Davis said in the statement.
