ST. MARY'S COUNTY, Md. (WUSA9) -- A group of fishers caught an 8-foot long Bull Shark earlier this week in the Potomac River in St. Mary's County.
The photos, provided by Murphy Brown, show the shark being hung up on the docks. The shark apparently died after getting caught up in fishing nets.
The Maryland Department of Natural resources told our editorial partners at The Washington Post that Bull Sharks are rare in that part of the river, but not unheard of.
