BRENTWOOD, Md. — Six people spent the night away from their homes after a fire in Brentwood on Saturday.
Firefighters with Prince George's County Fire and EMS Department responded to Shepherd Street, off of 38th Street and not far from the D.C.-Maryland state line, just after 8:50 p.m. after a report of a fire. Upon arrival to the location they found a three-story building, that houses multiple families, with flames coming from the second and third floors.
The fire department announced around 9:50 p.m. on their social media account that the fire was put out and no one was injured.
The six people who have been displaced will be helped by the Prince George's County Emergency Management.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
