BETHESDA, Md. — A Potomac teenager is facing charges after police say they robbed a business at gunpoint.
According to the Montgomery County Department of Police, the robbery happened at the Tobacco King along Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda.
Officers were called to the business around 10 a.m. on Wednesday. When they arrived, officers learned a suspect had walked into the Tobacco King and proceeded to place a large order. When the employee asked for proof of identification, the suspect took out a gun and demanded the items.
The suspect then left the store with the stolen items.
A 17-year-old, matching the suspect's description, was found at a nearby bus stop and taken into custody.
The teen was taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, charged with armed robbery and fire-arm related offenses and released on a $10,000 bond.
