DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. (WUSA9) — A woman is dead after being shot multiple times in District Heights, Md. Sunday, police said.
According to Prince George's County Police, officers responded to the report of the sound of gunshots shortly before 11 a.m. on the 2700 block of Lorring Drive.
When they arrived, they found an adult female suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where she later died.
Investigators said the shooting does not appear to be random.
