DAMASCUS, Md. — One person was trapped after a vehicle was mangled and destroyed due to it crashing into a tree in Damascus late Thursday.
Officials with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) responded to Gue Road, between Ridge Road and Long Corner Road, around 11 p.m. after a report of a collision. Upon arrival, they found the heavily damaged car has crashed into a tree and one person was trapped.
Authorities at the location worked to evaluate three people for injuries. The severity of their injuries were not stated. Pete Piringer, a spokesperson for MCFRS, stated that Maryland State Police's Medevac helicopter helped.
No information has been released about the people who were in the vehicle at the time of the collision, this includes their names, ages, and where they are from.
The cause of the crash has not been stated at this time.
