Upon arrival, officials with the Prince George's County Fire Department found a seriously damaged vehicle on its side, off the road in a nearby wooded area.

A person inside the vehicle was said to be trapped, and authorities pronounced them dead at the location. The identity of the victim has not been released, this includes their name, age, and where they are from.

Through an initial investigation, the fire department stated that it was determined that two vehicles were involved in the collision, one hit a pole and ended up on its side. Live power lines also ended up in the street.
