PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — Editor's Note: The video above covers a similar dead crash in Maryland.
Police are investigating after a 36-year-old man was reportedly hit by two different cars in Prince William County Monday.
According to a release from the Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD), the man was walking in the roadway in the area of Richmond Highway near Russel Road in Quantico just before 6 a.m.
Multiple people called the Public Safety Communications Center to report the man and when police arrived they found the man had been struck by a car.
Investigators say they believe the man was walking in the southbound lanes when he was hit by a 2010 BMW 5 Series driven by a 17-year-old girl. He was then hit a second time as he was laying in the road.
The man has since been identified as Marcus Altwan Wilson.
The teenage girl pulled over but the second driver did not stop after hitting Wilson, who died at the scene.
Detectives claim the man was wearing dark-colored clothing and walking in the roadway outside of a crosswalk when he was hit. His identity has not been released.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Crash Investigation Unit.
A 23-year-old from Columbia, Maryland was attempting to pull a woman out of the roadway on I-95 Sunday when a car ran him over, followed by another car and a third.
