WASHINGTON — A man is in critical condition after he was struck by an SUV in Northwest D.C. early Tuesday morning, Metropolitan police said. The SUV fled the scene.
The incident happened around 1:45 a.m. in the area of 4th and T St. in the LeDroit Park neighborhood near Howard University.
Police said the man was taken to a local hospital with head trauma. He has life-threatening injuries.
Authorities are looking for a dark SUV with front end damage that was last seen going north on 4th St. from T St.
the intersection of 4th and T St. was blocked for the investigation, as well as other streets in the area within a one block radius of the intersection. All closures have since been reopened.
The investigation remains ongoing, police said.
