GAITHERSBURG, Va. (WUSA9) -- Forest Oaks Middle School student have returned to class after being evacuated due to a small fire, according to Montgomery County fire officials.
The fire happened on the second floor hallway of the school, which is located at 651 Saybrooke Oaks Boulevard.
There were three minor injuries unrelated to the fire, according to spokesperson Pete Piringer.
Students had to spend about an hour outside while firefighters removed smoke from the building. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
