FRIENDSHIP HEIGHTS, Md. (WUSA9) – Jasmine Farooq feared a madman was about to kill her 15-year-old son.
Farooq had gone with her fiancé to return his baby to his ex-wife when a man started screaming at them about being two hours late.
The man shoved her son, drew a weapon, and aimed it at his head, right on Wisconsin Avenue in the middle of one of the region's swankiest blocks.
It was only then that Farooq figured out the man was a law enforcement officer.
In an exclusive interview with WUSA9, Farooq said she is furious Agent Gerald Rugero remains armed and on-duty while he awaits sentencing.
Rugero's lawyer insists he did nothing wrong.

Montgomery County prosecutors say Agent Rogero was the aggressor, and a jury found Rugero committed second-degree assault on the teen, but acquitted him of first-degree assault and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
"All the time we were requesting to call the police because we don't know who he is," Farooq said. "We were looking for help. I thought he was like a madman."
The Tysons Corner mom said Rogero broke her son's wrist and bruised his kidneys when he shoved him hard with the heel of his hand, pushing him several feet back, and knocking him to the ground in a confrontation that was all caught on tape.
But it didn't end there.
"If I have to shoot you, I'll shoot you!" Rogero says to the teen as he starts to get back up.
Rogero says the 15-year-old reached for his gun. The tape shows the agent aimed the small handgun at the young man.

"He really put the gun on his forehead, that part didn't show [in the video]," Farooq said. "And Alex [her son] told me he felt the cold [steel] and started praying… My son was an atheist until that moment."
Rogero continues on active duty with the FBI and the judge declined to take away his guns pending sentencing.
"Bizarre, reprehensible. I just believe this person should be in jail," Farooq said.
Rogero's lawyer insists the tape shows he acted reasonably, and the jury acquitted him of the two most serious charges. The lawyer's expected to ask for probation before judgment -- the family wants jail time.
A judge is slated to sentence Agent Rogero on January 20. The maximum penalty for 2nd-degree assault is 10 years in prison.
