EMMITSBURG, Md. (WUSA9) -- A second person has died after a Monday morning fire that had already killed a 74-year-old woman.

Diana Meyer, 43, passed away Tuesday at Lehigh Hospital in Philadelphia from injuries she received during the fire, the Frederick County Sheriff's Office said.

The sheriff's office also identified the woman who died Monday as Geraldine Jones. Her husband, 69-year-old Donnie Jones, is listed in critical condition at University of Maryland Shock Trauma.

Investigators have not yet been able to determine what caused the fire to break out at around 10 a.m. in the 100 block of W. Main Street in Emmitsburg. The fire was under control within 35 minutes.
