CABIN JOHN, Md. (WUSA9) -- A house fire drove two people out into arctic temperatures Friday morning in Montgomery County.
The fire broke out on Russell Road in the Cabin John neighborhood.
Investigators believe discarded fireplace ashes played a role in the fire.
No one was hurt.
A smoke alarm alerted the people inside.
Fire officials say there is an estimated $10,000 worth of damage.
