FAIRFAX, Va. — Police now believe a man may have secretly recorded more than 60 women and girls while they were in dressing rooms at malls in the northern Virginia area just before Christmas.
Mumtaz Rauf, 39, of Alexandria secretly recorded the victims inside of the fitting rooms between December 15 and December 24, according to Fairfax County police.
Rauf was arrested on Christmas Eve and charged with unlawful filming of a minor after a girl found a small camera inside of her fitting room at the Forever 21 store in Fair Oaks Mall.
Detectives are now asking the public to help identify over 60 female victims on over 100 videos that were secretly recorded with a pinhole camera and battery-powered transmitter in the changing rooms.
