FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (WUSA9) -- Don't be surprised if an officer comes to your door asking you to turn down your music. A new noise ordinance went into effect Wednesday.
The new restrictions prohibit excessive noise overnight from loud parties and early morning leaf blowing.
Not all noise is bad though snow removal and first responder sirens are fine. According to the new rules, noise should be limited at night but is allowed during the day.
