Woman waiting to pick up customers in DC assaulted and carjacked by teens

WASHINGTON — Three young teenagers are facing charges after police connected them to multiple robberies and carjackings in D.C. 

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, A 14-year-old boy and two 13-year-old boys are facing multiple charges. 

Police say all three teens are responsible for an armed carjacking on Buena Vista Terrace, SE and an armed robbery on Just Street, NE. 

The Buena Vista Terrace carjacking was reported on Feb. 19. Officers say the victim was sitting in his car just after 4:30 p.m. when two suspects walked up and carjacked him at gunpoint. A third suspect assaulted the victim before all three drove away in the victim's car. 

The armed robbery happened nearly two weeks later, on March 2, and ended with the suspects driving away in the victim's stolen car. Investigators say the victim was in the 5200 block of Just Street, NE when four suspects approached and robbed him at gunpoint before driving away in his car. 

Additionally, the 14-year-old boy and one of the 13-year-old boys were connected to another carjacking and an armed robbery. 

Police say the carjacking happened on Feb. 21 just before 10:45 p.m. The victim was reportedly waiting to pick up customers in the 3000 block of 30th Street, SE when four suspects got into her car and assaulted her. The victim escaped before the suspects drove away in her car. 

The second armed robbery also happened on March 2. Police say the victim was walking in the 5100 block of Sheriff Road, NE just after 9 p.m. when the suspects assaulted and robbed her at gunpoint. The suspects then ran away with the victim's stuff.
