WASHINGTON — If you are looking for a fun way to kick off your weekend and celebrate women -- a local D.C. bar might just be the ideal spot.
For Women's History Month, metrobar, located at 640 Rhode Island Ave., Northeast, is taking time to celebrate in a very unique way -- with a free tasting series. Local women-owned and -repped brands will be celebrated through the "Women in Distilling" spirit tastings which will be held on three Fridays this March.
The event provides people the opportunity to sample a variety of their premium distilled spirits, including whiskey. The tastings will take place from 6-9 p.m. The first distillery event was held back on March 8 with Republic Restoratives. But it's not too late.
The last two distillery events will be held on March 15 with Catoctin Creek and March 22 with Butterfly Spirits.
