Several women followed home by the same man in Foggy Bottom

On Saturday one resident said the man was caught peeking through the window

WASHINGTON — Several women in a Northwest D.C. neighborhood say a strange man has been following them and peeking through their home windows.

Jennifer Schaus told WUSA9 the man has been targeting several women in Foggy Bottom, near the 2500 block of K Street.

WUSA9 blurred the man's face because no one has been named a suspect or charged for any crimes.

Schaus said the man followed her on two separate occasions – first on Friday morning and then again on Sunday, when she was walking her dog.

On Saturday, Schaus said her neighbor caught the same man peeking through the first floor window of their apartment complex.

"He climbed up the side of our building and stuck his head through the window,” Schaus said.

Elizabeth Tobias-Hanadl had a similar story. She said she and her 80-year-old neighbor were followed on Saturday and she hasn’t been outside since.

“It’s not safe. It’s just not safe. I feel threatened," Tobias-Hanadl said.

Thankfully, one was injured but, Schaus fears him following people could escalate.

"These incidents don’t always take place at the late night hours. It happened to me twice in broad daylight, just be aware of your surroundings.” Schaus said.

DC Police told WUSA9 someone reported the incident on Sunday, but no police report was filed.
