USPP: Woman struck, killed on BW Parkway

Police say there were no cars or witnesses left at the scene.

WASHINGTON — A 26-year-old woman was struck and killed along Baltimore-Washington Parkway Wednesday morning, according to U.S. Park Police.

Officers were called to the possible pedestrian struck incident in the area of northbound Baltimore-Washington Parkway near Route 197 in Laurel just before 6 a.m., police said.

USPP said there were no cars or witnesses left at the scene. They said the woman that was struck died due to her injuries.

The northbound lanes of Baltimore-Washington Parkway were closed for several hours due to the investigation. They have since reopened as of 8:30 a.m.
