WASHINGTON — Police are investigating following a stabbing in the 1500 block of Benning Road in Northeast, D.C. Officials said the injured woman is conscious and breathing. Additional details about the victim's condition have not been released by officials.
Officers are asking people to be on the lookout for a suspect that is described to be a Black woman, heavy set, wearing a black shirt and white leggings. Officers also said the suspect had a grey sedan.
Officials do not want the public to engage or take action and instead call them at 202-727-9099.
No additional information has been provided about this incident. This is an ongoing investigation.
