WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A Washington woman found guilty of following a couple home from a casino and robbing them was sentenced to 8 years in prison Thursday.

Kamisha Loftin, 31, of Northeast D.C. was convicted of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery in March after prosecutors say she stole from an older couple in August 2014 after they won money from the slot machines at the Maryland Live! Casino.

Surveillance video showing Loftin, 28, inside the casino was released Thursday. In the video, Loftin and her accomplice Antiono Applewhite notice the couple, a 78-year-old man and 72-year-old woman, winning at the slot machines.

The video shows the couple cashing in their winnings and Loftin and Applewhite following them into the parking lot. The two then followed the couple by car all the way from the casino to their home in Silver Spring.

911 recordings capture Applewhite ambushing the couple in their garage. Prosecutors say she pushed the old man down and stole cash and credit cards.

Minutes after the robbery, surveillance video at a gas station shows Loftin, wearing the same clothing as in the casino, using one of the stolen credit cards to buy gas. The video also shows Applewhite.

In court Thursday, Judge Nelson Rupp called the incident stalking and an ambush.

Loftin was on probation at the time of the incident. During the trial, Loftin forged a hospital note claiming her 9-year-old daughter was sick to explain why she didn't show up during one day of her trial. However, some of the text was copy and pasted from WebMd.

Applewhite pleaded guilty in connection to the incident and is currently serving a five year sentence with four years suspended.
