WASHINGTON — Easter is coming and it is about time to get egg-cited over this annual White House tradition.
President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden announced that the 2024 White House Easter Egg Roll will be taking place on Easter Monday, April 1 on the South Lawn. It is one of the oldest traditions in White House history.
At this time, the year’s theme and information about the activities have not been released. People can enter an online ticket lottery, as well as apply to volunteer for the event. Here's details on how:
Online Ticket Lottery
White House Easter Egg Roll tickets are free to the public and may be requested through an online public lottery starting Feb. 26.
The event is geared towards children 12 years old and younger. The public lottery will close on March 4 at noon and randomly selected winners will be notified by email on or after March 11. Entering the lottery is free of charge and tickets are not for sale.
