WASHINGTON — Happy HOCO Howard! The Howard Bison are expected to take on the Norfolk Spartans on Saturday in their 2023 homecoming game.
Ahead of the game, there will be plenty of events to help fans get in the school spirit.

H-U, You Know!
Thursday, Oct. 19:
Student Fashion Show, Cramton Auditorium
- Doors open at 7 p.m., with the event starting at 8 p.m.
- Tickets are $50 per person for general admission (and they are selling out fast!)
- Discounted student tickets are available at the Cramton Auditorium Box Office only.
Friday, Oct. 20:
Divine 9 Homecoming Fundraiser Breakfast, Gallery Lounge at the Blackburn Center
- Attend this breakfast and help raise money for the Divine 9 that will benefit the service initiatives of the office of the dean of the Chapel.
- Tickets are $30 per person.
- The breakfast will be held from 9 a.m. until noon
Yardfest Day One, Main Yard-Upper Quadrangle
- A diverse range of artists and entertainment will take the stage at Yardfest from noon until 6 p.m.
- The event is free to attend.
Greek Step Show, Burr Gym
- The annual show features the University’s Divine Nine and other student organizations showing off their creativity and showmanship through step.
- Doors open at 7 p.m., with the event starting at 8 p.m.
All-Classes Reunion Welcome Reception/Happy Hour, The Anthem Restaurant
- Kick-off Homecoming weekend with a welcome reception and happy hour event.
- Tickets are $30 per person.
Alumni Bison Ball hosted by Homecoming at the Mecca
- Get your suits and dresses ready for a night to remember.
- From 10:30 p.m. until 2 a.m., the ball will be held at the Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater.
- Tickets start at $80 per person, $150 per couple.
Saturday, Oct. 21:
Community Parade, Georgia Avenue and passing through local neighborhoods
- A parade showcasing bands, celebrity appearances, and the University’s student organizations will take place along Georgia Avenue from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
- The event is free.
Yardfest Day Two, Main Yard-Upper Quadrangle
- It's Reunion Day! Stop by the Office of Development and Alumni Relations tent for an afternoon of fun, fellowship and giveaways from noon until 6 p.m.
Homecoming Football Game, Greene Memorial Stadium
- Howard University Bison Vs. Norfolk State University Spartans.
- The game starts at noon, with gates opening at 10 a.m.
Wine Down Mixer, Ballroom at the Blackburn Center
- After Yardfest and the big game, fans are invited to unwind and Wine Down from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
- Tickets are $30 per person to attend.
Reggae Fest, Howard Theatre
- End the night at the historic Howard Theatre with a night of dancing from 10 p.m. until the venue closes at 3 a.m.
- Tickets start at $30 per person.
