HILLCREST HEIGHTS, Md. -- A woman walking home from the Naylor Road Metro station survived an unimaginably frightening and harrowing ordeal when she was abducted and sexually assaulted by two men early Monday morning.
During a press conference held by Prince George's County Police, detectives revealed the victim was approached by two men on Curtis Drive near Branch Ave. around 12:05 a.m., approximately a half mile from the Metro station. The suspects forced her into their car at gunpoint and abducted her. Both suspects sexually assaulted her.
Approximately 45 minutes later, the suspects dumped the victim in the 1500 block of Ridge Place in southeast DC, where MPD officials say she was raped once again. She was able to make a call to police from a nearby home.
The violent act has prompted to a joint investigation and manhunt led by detectives from both the Prince George's County Police Department and the Metropolitan police department, since the suspect crossed the DC/Prince George's County border with the victim.
Prince George's Co. Police have released a surveillance photo of one of the suspects as he walked into a bank. The suspect is an African American male who's approximately 6 feet tall. He wore a black coat and black pants. The second suspect is described as an African American male, approximately 5'8"-5'10". He wore a red Helly Hansen jacket. Both suspects are estimated to be between 18-23 years old.
The suspect's vehicle is a dark-colored, four-door, older-model sedan. Police said the suspect's vehicle was recovered on Wednesday. Police released pictures of the vehicle caught by a surveillance camera.
