TRAVEL

AAA is predicting Thanksgiving air travel will be the highest since 2005. A whopping 4.7 million people are expected to fly this holiday.

"Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving are the busiest air travel days ahead of the holiday and the most expensive," AAA said in a news release. "While Sunday is typically the busiest day to return home, AAA data shows Monday is also a popular day to fly back after Thanksgiving."

With gas prices cheaper this holiday compared to last year, most Thanksgiving travelers will be driving this year. Nearly 50 million drivers will be hitting the roads this year, AAA says Wednesday will be the busiest day on the roads.

They recommend drivers leave before 11 a.m. on Wednesday if they can.

TSA

For those flying, TSA wants travelers to know which foods are permitted through TSA and which need to be checked with the bags. TSA says a tip to know which food can be taken onboard is, if it's solid, then it can go through a checkpoint. However, if you can spill it, spray it, pump it, or pour it, then it needs to go in a checked bag.
