WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The Metropolitan Police Department said Friday, there will be new photo enforced locations in Washington, D.C. starting Saturday.
Police said the new photo enforcement units are being placed where authorities say, speeding and pedestrian safety has been an issue in the past.
According to authorities, drivers who go over the speed limit in the areas will get a warning citation starting July 19. The police department will stop giving out warning tickets after the 30-day warning period.
The following locations belong to the new enforcement areas::
3900 block South Dakota Ave NE southeast bound Speed 25
3700 block Minnesota Ave NE south bound Speed 25
49th St NE northbound @ Clay St Crosswalk 25
