WASHINGTON -- If you missed the large ball pit at the National Building Museum, "The Beach" from the summer of 2017, never fear – it’s coming to a backyard near you.

Fun House is a new exhibit open now at the National Building Museum. Designed by Snarkitecture, “the freestanding structure…recalls and re-imagines the idea of the traditional home,” the museum’s website says.

Guests can explore various rooms before going for a dip in the pool in the “backyard.” That’s right, behind the house, the ball pit is back, now in a kidney-shaped pool. The plastic balls are recyclable, too!

Tickets are $16 for adults, $13 for youth, students, seniors and AARP members.

In addition to regular admission, the museum offers several different alternate events for those looking to explore the house. Late night admission on Wednesdays offers elevated prices, but with the addition of pop-up tours, talks and food and beverage for purchase.

Additionally, Sunday morning yoga is offered in the Fun House for $20 – which includes admission and yoga.

D.C. residents can also take advantage of their Ward Days, where complimentary admission is offered from 9-11 a.m. for residents of various wards. The full list is here.

The exhibit runs through September 3.

The famous 650,000 plastic balls have been moved a couple of times already. After the Beach, they filled Dupont Underground in 2016. Instead of allowing guests to swim in them, they were used to build various structures.
