WASHINGTON — After years of serving the Northeast D.C. community, a local business is closing their doors. Sticky Fingers Diner announced Tuesday on social media that they would be closing their H Street Northeast location after eight years.
The decision comes as they plan to focus on their new flagship bakery located at 314 Carroll Street Northwest in the Takoma neighborhood. Their last day of service at the diner location will be on Sunday, Feb. 25.
Sticky Fingers says their satellite location in Streets NOMA will be available for people to pick up some of their favorite foods from the eatery. This includes pre-orders and cake orders.
"We want to thank the H Street Community and all of our Sticky Fingers regulars for supporting us at the Diner and can’t wait to see you in Takoma soon," the business said on their Instagram post.
This is the latest small business to close its doors in the H Street corridor in recent months. In January, DC Craft Beer Cellar closed after seven years. In December, Pursuit Wine Bar and Kitchen closed and before that, in November, Brine Oyster and Seafood House closed their H Street location.
