WASHINGTON — A man is dead after a late Sunday night shooting in Southeast D.C., sparking an investigation into what happened.
Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department responded to Jasper Street Southeast, off of Alabama Avenue Southeast, around 10:05 p.m. after a shooting in the area. Upon arrival, the found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.
The man was initially reported to be unconscious and not breathing, but was later confirmed to be dead at the location, according to police. His identity has not been released, this includes his name, age, and where he is from.
No information has been released about a person of interest in the deadly shooting case.
