WASHINGTON — Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department are asking for the public's help identifying suspects accused of an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven in Northeast D.C. on Friday.
According to the police department, around 4:40 a.m., the suspects walked into the convenience store, located at 333 Hawaii Avenue Northeast, and approached the employee there while pointing a handgun. They then demanded property and money from the register.
The employee followed the directions given by the suspects. After getting what they asked for, the suspects left the scene.
Police have not said how much money was taken from the store or how the suspects left the scene - whether by vehicle or on foot.
The suspects were captured by a surveillance camera and police are hoping the photos will help lead to an arrest.
Anyone who can identify these individuals or who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
