WASHINGTON — Power was restored and the traffic lights were back on Friday night, after an outage that initially impacted thousands in NoMa and Eckington.
The outage impacted areas near Florida and New York Avenues, and Q and R Street Northeast, according to the D.C. Department of Transportation.
After the outage was first reported around 5 p.m. on Friday, Pepco said 2,197 customers were impacted.
Pepco did not immediately give information about what caused the outage but as of 10:40 p.m., the outages in the problem area were repaired.
