WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A U.S. Postal worker and a juvenile were shot Monday evening in Southeast D.C.
According to a D.C. police spokesperson, the postal worker, a man, was in uniform when he was found with gunshot wounds in the 1500 block of Galen Street around 5:20 p.m.
About two blocks away, the spokesperson said officers found a juvenile with gunshot wounds in the 1600 block of Green Street SE.
Both victims suffered non-life threatening injuries and have been released from the hospital after receiving treatment for their wounds.
It is unknown if the mail carrier was shot because he worked for the postal service.
