WASHINGTON — A shooting left a man injured Saturday afternoon in Southeast D.C., and now police are searching for a vehicle in connection to the crime.
Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department responded to a local hospital after receiving a report of a shooting victim arriving needing treatment. Through an investigation, it was determined that the shooting happened on Wheeler Road Southeast, near Bellevue Street, not far from the D.C.-Maryland state line, just after 4:30 p.m.
No information has been released about the condition of the shooting victim.
Detectives released surveillance camera photos of the suspect vehicle in the case on Sunday, as they seek answers in the case. The vehicle has been described as a gray or metallic blue SUV.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
