Police: 28-year-old arrested in connection with 19 separate burglaries across DC

The suspect is accused of sometimes attempting up to three burglaries within the same day.

WASHINGTON — A 28-year-old man has been arrested for close to 20 burglary incidents that happened across the District in October and December of 2021.

The Metropolitan Police Department said during the burglaries, suspects forcibly entered the building and once inside attempted to or took property before leaving the scene.

Police arrested and charged Kevin Bing, of Southeast, D.C., on Tuesday for his connection to the following burglary offenses: 

  • On Oct. 5, 2021, at just before 2 a.m., in the 5000 block of New Hampshire Avenue, Northwest.    
  • On Oct. 6, 2021, around 6:45 pm, in the 5500 block of Colorado Avenue, Northwest.    
  • On Oct. 7, 2021, just before 2 a.m., in the 3800 block of McKinley Street, Northwest.    
  • On Oct. 7, 2021, at around 2 a.m., in the 5600 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest.    
  • On Oct. 11, 2021, just before 3 a.m., in the 5000 block of New Hampshire Avenue, Northwest.    
  • On Oct. 11, 2021, around 3:07 a.m., in the 6300 block of Chillum Place, Northwest.    
  • On Oct. 13, 2021, around 5:44 a.m., in the 5500 block of Colorado Avenue, Northwest.    
  • On Oct. 14, 2021, at approximately 3:21 a.m., in the 2800 block of 10th Street, Northeast.    
  • On Oct. 21, 2021, around 1:45 am, in the 400 block of I Street, Northwest.    
  • On Oct. 21, 2021, at approximately 1:48 a.m., in the 1100 block of New Jersey Avenue, Southeast.    
  • On Oct. 20, 2021 into Oct. 21, 2021, between the hours of 7:30 p.m. and 7 a.m., in the 4200 block of Fessenden Street, Northwest.    
  • On Oct. 20, 2021 into Oct. 21, 2021, between the hours of 4 p.m. and 7 a.m., in the 4200 block of Fessenden Street, Northwest.   
  • On Oct. 20, 2021 into Oct. 21, 2022, between the hours of 4 p.m. and 7 a.m., in the 4400 block of Fessenden Street, Northwest.    
  • On Oct. 21, 2021, just before 3 a.m., in the 4600 block of Wisconsin Avenue, Northwest.   
  • On Oct. 21, 2021, at approximately 3:05 a.m., in the 4600 block of Wisconsin Avenue, Northwest.    
  • On Dec. 14, 2021, at about 2:14 a.m., in the 3400 block of 8th Street, Northeast.    
  • On Dec. 14, 2021, at approximately 3:13 a.m., in the 200 block of Michigan Avenue, Northeast.   
  • On Dec. 14, 2021, between the hours of 1:23 a.m. and 7:15 p.m., in the 6900 block of 4th Street, Northwest.    
  • On Dec. 15, 2021, at approximately 3:34 a.m., in the 2100 block of Rhode Island Avenue, Northeast.
