Traffic diverted after pedestrian left with life-threatening injuries from crash on Suitland Parkway

WASHINGTON —


Police are investigating a crash on Suitland Parkway that sent a pedestrian to an area hospital on Sunday with life-threatening injuries. It is unclear at this moment if that person is expected to survive. 

At 8:30 p.m., United States Park Police officers responded to the Suitland Parkway in the area of Naylor Road for a crash involving a car and a pedestrian. 

Police say the pedestrian was rushed to an area hospital after the crash with life-threatening injuries.

The car that hit the pedestrian remained on scene.

The crash is currently under investigation.

Traffic is diverted onto Naylor Road at this time.
