WASHINGTON — Police are asking for the public's help locating a missing 15-year-old boy, who was last seen in Northwest D.C. on the night of Christmas.
Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department say Samarj Hawkins was last seen on Harvard Street Northwest, nearby 5th Street Northwest, around 11:30 p.m. on Monday.
No information has been released about what might of led up to the teen's disappearance.
DC Police say he has been described as being Black, 6-foot-1, 210 pounds, with black hair in short twists and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white writing and black sweat pants.
The case is being investigated by MPD's Youth and Family Services Division. Anyone who may know where the teen is should contact police at 202-727-9099 or 202-576-6768. Anonymous tips can also be sent to the police department's text tip line at 50411.
