WASHINGTON — Police are investigating a shooting in Northeast D.C. Wednesday evening.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting was reported just after 5 p.m. near the intersection of First and M Street NE, in the NoMa neighborhood.
When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot. He was conscious and breathing when first responders took him to an area hospital.
A short time later, a second man was connected to the shooting after walking into a nearby medical center.
No suspect information has been released.
There is no word on what happened in the moments leading up to the shooting or any possible motive.
