WASHINGTON — An investigation is underway after a man was stabbed and hurt while on a Metrobus Thursday night in Southeast D.C.
Officers with the Metro Transit Police Department responded to 11th Street Southeast and O Street Southeast, in the Navy Yard neighborhood, at 7:35 p.m. after receiving a report of a stabbing. It was determined that the stabbing happened aboard a 92 Metrobus in the area.
Through an investigation, police learned that the man and another person were involved in a fight on the bus. The now person of interest in the case stabbed the man and left.
The man suffered injuries that have been described as being non-life-threatening. No one is currently in custody for this crime.
The investigation into the case is active and ongoing.
