Man arrested for SE DC bus stop shooting that injured 4 adults, 1 girl

Police say a girl received an undetermined injury as a result of the shooting. How the girl was injured and the extent of her injury is not known at this time.

An adult male pedestrian was killed Wednesday in a crash in Elkridge.

WASHINGTON, D.C., USA — A 30-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday following a shooting that occurred at a bus stop in Southeast, D.C. 

Four people were shot and one girl received an undetermined injury on Monday evening after police say a man fired shots at a group of people at a Southeast, D.C. bus stop. 

Ronnell Rashicke Offutt, of Southwest, D.C., was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. 

The shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. on Monday in the 2300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. 

After shots were fired, police say all the victims ran and were located on different streets within a mile of each other. 

Police have confirmed three of the victims were men and they were all taken to the hospital conscious and breathing. Another man who was shot at the bus stop walked into an area hospital with a gunshot wound. 

Police say a girl also received an undetermined injury as a result of the shooting. How the girl was injured and the extent of her injury is not known at this time.  

Police say the suspect was last seen on foot towards Minnesota Avenue in Southeast, D.C.
