LIST: New DC speed camera locations

The Metropolitan Police Department announced six new photo enforced locations in the District.

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The Metropolitan Police Department announced six new photo enforced locations in the District.

The cameras will begin operating on Monday and have been placed in locations where speeding has been a problem in the past, the Metropolitan Police Department said.

There will be a 30 day warning period, which will start on Monday. Violators will get warning citations during this time, police said. Citations will be issued to drivers after the 30 day warning period is over.

Here are the new photo enforcement locations according to MPD:

6100 block of Eastern Ave NE southeastbound Speed 25 mph

3200 block of Fort Lincoln Dr NE southbound Speed 25 mph

1900 block of Branch Ave SE southbound Speed 25 mph

1400 block of South Capitol St SE northbound Speed 25 mph

1400 block of South Capitol St SW southbound Speed 25 mph

600 block of Kenilworth Ave NE southbound Speed 25 mph
