FAIRFAX, Va. (WUSA9) -- Jayson Werth will serve five days in jail after pleading guilty to reckless driving.
The Nationals outfielder was found guilty of reckless driving in December, after being pulled over for going 105 mph in a 55 mph zone. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail, but appealed and agreed to a plea deal on Thursday, the Washington Post reported.

Along with the five days in jail, the plea requires Werth's license be suspended for 6 months, and he will pay a $200 fine, the Fairfax Commonwealth Attorney's Office said.
The deal involved a 180 day sentence with 170 days suspended. Werth's sentence was reduced to 5 days because in Virginia pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge you are only have to serve half the sentence.
The original fine for Werth was $1000, but $800 of the fine was suspended, according to the Commonwealth Attorney's Office.
Werth will be able to apply for a restricted license, which will allow him to drive to and from work, after 30 days.
