WASHINGTON — A man was shot to death in Southeast D.C. late Monday night, sparking a homicide investigation into what happened and who pulled the trigger.
Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department responded to Brandywine Street Southeast, off of 4th Street Southeast, around 11:55 p.m., after receiving a report of a shooting in the area. Upon arriving, they found a man inside of a home suffering from gunshot wound injuries.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released to the public yet, this includes his name and age.
No information has been released about a potential person of interest in the case, as well as a possible motive for the deadly shooting. The investigation into the case is active and ongoing.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
