Relatives of man shot by FBI agent at Metro Center say they've yet to see his body or his belongings

Police say Troy Bullock was the aggressor, but his family says that's not typical behavior for the soon-to-be father. They want the agent's name and history.

WASHINGTON — Family members are demanding answers in the death of a D.C. man who was shot and killed by an off-duty FBI agent during rush hour at Metro Center.

A fight between the two was caught on surveillance video last Wednesday, but the shooting itself happened out of view under the Metro platform, after the two men had fallen over a wall.

Danyell Bullock, the grieving mom of Troy Bullock, says after nearly a week, she still has not heard from detectives, nor been able to view her son's body, let alone bring him home.

"They haven't even received his belongings," said Jade Mathis, an attorney for the family, at a rally near the courthouse and police headquarters.

Investigators say 28-year-old Troy Bullock was the aggressor. In video released, he appears to come in close to the unidentified agent, who pushes him back. They wrestle, before Bullock pushes the agent over the railing and they both tumble eight feet down to the ground. It's under the platform, and apparently out of range of the cameras, that the off-duty agent shoots and kills Bullock.

"I see that there was an altercation," Mathis said. "There's not footage of what preceded it. What happened before and what happened after, what happened during. And that is why we're asking that that footage be released."

Both the family and police are pleading with anyone with additional video to share it with them.

Police say Bullock had a handgun. But his family says he was a hard-working, soon-to-be father who had spent the last decade working for the same moving company.

"I just don't understand," his aunt Sherlene Bullock Turnage said. "It's just so hard just to know we won't see him again."

"He was genuinely sweet to everyone, Shadora Bullock, a cousin, added. "I can't believe he's gone."

Activists are demanding the agent's name. They want to know whether he ever identified himself as law enforcement and whether he's been involved in violent incidents before.

"No one in this family has ever been murdered," Tanquesha Bullock, also a cousin, said. "I don't care what we look like. We weren't raised like that."

DC Police say the shooting is still under investigation and there are no new updates. The U.S. Attorney could take this to a grand jury to make any kind of charging decision, and that could take awhile.
