The family of Bijan Ghaisar is celebrating his life, and also searching for answers.
Ghaisar, 25, was shot by US Park Police on November 17 following a police pursuit along the George Washington Parkway. According to a US Park Police Spokesperson, Ghaisar never shot at officers. Ghaisar's family attorney also claims that he never had a gun.
Thursday, hundreds of Ghaisar's family and friends gathered in front of the Lincoln Memorial, his favorite spot, to remember him.

"Bijan was one of my best friends and my little brother. There's nothing in the world that can ever replace him. Bijan was such a kind and helpful, loving and passionate person who cared about everyone he ever met," said Jeffrey Caesar, one of his best friends.
His loved ones celebrated the life of a man who made sure to live his to the fullest. But the mystery surrounding his death was still present.
"We want to remember Bijan with gratitude and grace, the way he lived his life, but this doesn't cut back from the fact that we want justice," said Caesar.
There are still so many gaps in this story. His family still wants to know why the Park Police officer fired his weapon. Neither the Park Police or the FBI who has now taken the lead in the investigation are saying much about the investigation.
